All students receive classroom instruction in art, music and dance every year in Lower School, with more specialized study available for those with particular interests. Studio art and music instruction continue each year into Middle School, plus at least one year of dance and elective opportunities in the theatre arts. In Upper School, students must take at least one full year of fine arts instruction, and can choose to concentrate on one area or dabble in several art forms.
St. Catherine’s fine arts faculty is committed to fostering a genuine appreciation of a variety of artistic endeavors. Local and regional artists and performers visit frequently to work with individual classes or make presentations to larger groups.
