Meet Laura Fuller
Laura J. Fuller came to St. Catherine’s in June of 2007 with 17 years of experience in independent and public schools. Her most recent endeavors were at Berkeley Preparatory School in Tampa, Florida and The Taft School in Connecticut. At Berkeley, Laura was responsible for all academic and co-curricular aspects of the high school, including the leadership and evaluation of more than 75 faculty members and 500 students, strategic planning, parent communications, and curriculum planning design, implementation, and assessment. While at Taft, Laura served as the chair of the science department and oversaw the design and execution of an integrated science program. Since coming to St. Catherine’s, Laura has overseen the development of the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) program, the introduction of Spanish and Chinese in the lower school and the International Studies and Experiential Learning program.

Welcome to St. Catherine’s School on the web. I hope the extensive information you find here will encourage you to visit and experience first-hand the distinct programs and people who make this school so special.

From Miss Jennie’s pioneering vision in 1890 of a school that prepared young women for the rigors of higher education, to today’s emphasis on academic excellence, character development and spiritual growth, St. Catherine’s is a leader among independent schools. Our mission is to develop women with a passion for inquiry, intellectual exuberance, an active concern for others, and positive engagement in the world.

Put simply, St. Catherine’s is Empowering Girls for a Lifetime.

Our emphasis on excellence is wrapped within a community of teachers and students who care deeply for one another and support each girl’s success, as well as the lessons learned when she falls short of success. And, we join together in our shared mission of serving others.

A visit is the only way you can fully experience the traditions, the history and the energy that is St. Catherine’s. I look forward to meeting you on campus so I can welcome you in person and share with you everything I have come to embrace and cherish about the school. This is an energizing and exhilarating time to be a part of the St. Catherine’s family. We hope you join our family soon.

Laura J. Fuller
