SAINTS CAPTURE TWO LIS TITLES

Julie Dayton
St. Catherine's cross country team started off the afternoon with a tremendous team effort. Senior Libby Parrish led all runners with a first place finish. Several other Saints finished in the top 15 to bring home the LIS Championship. All LIS honors go to: Libby Parrish, Izzy LeBey, Ann Nicholson, Kate Nicholson, Ryley Ogden, Riley Alvis and Ryan Dotter. There were several PR's, and really strong runs from all of the Saints, including the JV runners who participated in the JV race.
The Kenny Center was the place to be in the evening as the defending LIS Champion Saints hosted St. Anne's Belfield. STAB made a run at the Saints several times, but today brought out impressive teamwork for the home team and a 3-0 win. The Saints went through the League season undefeated and showed strength against some of the top teams in the state including a few big public schools. This championship makes it a "three-peat" for Saints volleyball, and 4 LIS championships out of the last 5.
Congratulations to Saints Cross country and Saints volleyball!
