Saints Dominant Over Rebels!

Lindalee Mulligan
After the driving rain at Collegiate last Tuesday, we managed to dodge the forecasted thunderstorms this week.  The Saints started the game strong off the draw, scoring first in the opening minute of the game.  Not to be outdone, the Rebels answered with a few goals of their own.  Much of the first half proved to be closely contested, but the Saints applied the pressure as Brucie Mish intercepted a goalie clear and scored to give the Saints a 7-5 edge at halftime.
The Saints doubled their goals in the second half, working the ball around the cage with nice cuts and deft shotmaking.  They continued to control the draw, looking for opportunities to double team and creating several turnovers that resulted in goals. Ending the game with a strong 14-9 showing, the Saints dominated the stat sheet in all areas.
Scoring for the Saints were Carolyn Pratt (6), Arlo Gray (2), Katie McCarthy (2), Brucie Mish (2), Charlotte Candler (1) and Isabel Molster (1).  In goal was Kalli Wagnon with 10 saves.
GO SAINTS!!
